Grof® Legacy Training Adria

Professional Training in Holotropic Breathwork and Transpersonal Therapy - Rooted in the Grof® Legacy

A three-year training in experiential practice, transpersonal psychology and responsible facilitation.

Grounded in the work of Stanislav and Christina Grof, the training integrates experiential work, transpersonal psychology and therapy, personal process, and integration to develop the capacity to work responsibly with expanded states of consciousness.

Across seven residential modules over three years, participants engage in experiential practice, personal process, inter-module learning, and professional development within a small cohort.

The training brings together direct experience and theoretical understanding, situating both within a broader framework of transpersonal psychology and the responsible facilitation of expanded states of consciousness.

Particular emphasis is placed on ethical discernment, the quality of presence, and the capacity to accompany complex processes with care and sensitivity to individual experience.

The Training

The residential modules are complemented by inter-module learning and integration, combining:

Experiential work

Direct engagement with expanded states of consciousness and the experiential dimensions of the Grof® approach.

Personal process

Sustained inner work fostering self-awareness, psychological understanding and the capacity to engage with others responsibly.

Professional development

The integration of transpersonal psychology, therapeutic understanding, facilitation, integration and ethical discernment.

Cohort learning

An intentionally limited group providing continuity, depth of engagement and space for individual development.

Is this training for you?

The training is intended for practitioners seeking to deepen their understanding of expanded states of consciousness and develop their capacity to work responsibly with these processes. It may be particularly relevant to those working in psychotherapy, psychology, counselling, coaching and related professional fields, whose practice is informed by an interest in experiential and transpersonal approaches.

The three-year format calls for a sustained commitment to experiential learning, personal process and professional development. Participants should be willing to engage in their own inner work while deepening their understanding of the responsibilities and ethical considerations involved in accompanying others through expanded states of consciousness.

What the training develops

Understanding of expanded states of consciousness — a grounded understanding of their experiential dimensions and the frameworks through which they may be understood.

Capacity to accompany inner processes — developing the presence, sensitivity and discernment to support individuals through profound and potentially challenging experiences.

Professional competence — integrating experiential learning, transpersonal perspectives, facilitation, integration and ethical responsibility.

Self-awareness and relational presence — deepening awareness of one’s own processes and their significance in working with others.
