A multi-year experiential formation in transpersonal psychology and Grof® Breathwork facilitation

Who this training is for

This training is intended for individuals with a sustained engagement in inner work and an established capacity for reflection. Participants may come from psychotherapy, somatic practice, coaching, contemplative traditions, or long-term personal exploration.

It fosters psychological understanding, relational awareness, and professional responsibility, with integration forming a central part of the learning process.

The application process includes a self-assessment designed to help prospective participants reflect on their readiness, alignment, and resonance with this work — offering greater clarity on whether the training is the right fit for their personal and professional path.

Participants develop facilitation capacity through direct experience of being held, holding others, and reflecting on both, rather than through instruction or teaching only.

The training is held by experienced facilitators working within established ethical and relational frameworks. Learning unfolds through experience, observation, reflection, and engagement.

The Work

This training is rooted in six decades of research in transpersonal psychology and the careful theoretical and experiential study of holotropic states of consciousness. Within this framework, such states are understood not as anomalies or disruptions, but as meaningful expressions of the psyche — carrying emotional, psychological, and existential content that deserves attentive and respectful engagement.

The training invites participants to develop the capacity to remain present within these experiences, to relate to them without avoidance or the impulse to control, and to integrate what arises into everyday life over time.

This process unfolds at each person's own pace. Rather than moving toward predefined outcomes, participants develop a stable and grounded relationship with their inner experience - one that supports both deepening self-knowledge and the gradual formation of professional presence and ethical readiness.

How it works

The training moves through three interwoven dimensions: experiential engagement, theoretical grounding, and ethical–relational formation, each informing and deepening the others over time.

Learning takes place within a carefully held group process with emphasis on continuity, responsibility, and integration.

Facilitation capacity grows gradually through direct participation, by experiencing support, supporting others, and engaging in ongoing inquiry around both, rather than through instruction alone.

The training is supported by experienced facilitators working within established ethical and relational frameworks. Development unfolds through experience, observation, dialogue, and reflective engagement.

What you will develop

Throughout the training, participants develop key capacities that support both personal integration and responsible engagement in this field of work:

  • Understanding of transpersonal psychology and its experiential and clinical implications

  • Capacity to remain present with yourself and others in expanded and intense psychological states

  • A grounded and stable relationship to your inner process

  • Integration practices for both personal and professional application

  • Ethical and relational discernment in facilitation contexts

What this training is not

This training is not psychotherapy or clinical treatment.

It is not a conventional certification programme, nor a method course, nor a shortcut. Development at this level requires time, repetition, and genuine integration -  and the training is designed with that understanding at its core.

As part of the application process, you will be invited to engage with a series of reflective questions intended to support deeper consideration of your readiness, alignment, and relationship to this work.

The Journey

The training unfolds gradually, with each stage deepening personal and relational growth.

The training begins with inquiry and orientation and continues as a developmental process through immersive practice, reflective integration, supported facilitation experience, and long-term professional development.

Along the way, participants deepen their capacity to remain present with uncertainty, engage responsibly with holotropic states of consciousness, and cultivate the relational and ethical foundations of facilitation within the Grof® lineage.

The Grof® Lineage

Across cultures, humans have long explored the deeper dimensions of the psyche in search of insight, healing, vision, and transformation.

In modern psychology, the work of Stanislav and Christina Grof represents one of the most extensive explorations of these territories, contributing to transpersonal psychology, psychedelic therapy, and Holotropic Breathwork®.

This training is situated within that broader lineage and field of inquiry.
